Take a visual journey with me. I travel to beautiful places, paint plein air (on location) studies, bringthem back into the studio to create larger works, and share the beauty of those moments through my art. Send me an e-mail if you would like a preview of new paintings at maryericksonart@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from you, or seeing you at one of the events listed below.

Silent Skies is an international collaborative art project depicting the world's endangered birds. There are 678 endangered species of birds in the world! Artists from around the globe have come together to create a super-mural mosaic highlighting each species, which will form the artistic centerpiece of the 27th International Ornithological Congress in Vancouver in 2018. Mary Erickson is a contributor of ten paintings to this effort, and a member of The Artists for Conservation. Here are the paintings that are part of the mural:

Stolen Painting ALERT!
This original oil painting on canvas was stolen from the Boston, MA distribution center of BAX GLOBAL
(now DB Schenker) on August 8, 2008 on its way to Sheldon Fine Art in Newport, Rhode Island. Because of inconsistencies in their story, we suspect an employee of the shipping company was involved, and that the painting is in the Boston area.
